Hello everyone,

My name is Chiara! I started working at Mangiaparole about a year ago as a L2/LS Italian teacher, both online and face-to-face with students of all ages and levels. I am extremely passionate about my work and I am always looking for creative ideas and activities to use in class.

In 2014 I obtained my Master’s degree in Education Sciences at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan with a score of 110/110. Later, I decided to specialize in teaching Italian to foreigners by attending the DITALS Master’s Degree at the University for Foreigners of Siena. I earned the CEDILS Level II Certification, issued by the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the DITALS Level II Certification, issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena. I obtained the DILIT diploma (with mention) at the Dilit International House in Rome. I am also a CELI examiner.

I had the opportunity to do an internship at the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington DC, where I taught Italian to university students. I also lived in New York, where I studied at EF – Education First and Kaplan International Languages, achieving a C1 English level.

I earned the Federal Certificate of Adult Trainer (FSEA) and the teaching license in the Swiss Confederation for teaching in public and private schools, institutes and companies.

My favorite Italian dishes are: pizza, risotto and pasta with fish.

I love writing. I have published two books so far – a thriller Che fine ha fatto Liz? – Rossini Editore and an illustrated story for children Tommy, dove sei?.

My greatest passion is traveling. I also enjoy walking in nature with Daisy – my sweet Labrador puppy – dancing, practicing yoga, photography, cooking, music, watching movies and TV shows, reading, horse riding and making jewelry in resin and polymer clay.
