Hello everyone! I’m Luigi. I graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures (Spanish and Portuguese) at the Sapienza University of Rome. I have been teaching Italian and Spanish for over 10 years.
At Mangiaparole, I currently teach online and in-person classes in Rome, both individual and group lessons. One of the group classes I teach online is the IDL – Italian for driver’s license course. This course in particular, is designed to prepare students for the theory test to obtain the Italian patente B.
After I graduated, I specialized in the communicative method at the Dilit International House in Rome. I gained the II level DITALS – Certification of Competence in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language at the University for Foreigners of Siena and the DELE – Certification for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
I have extensive experience teaching Italian in private schools, universities, embassies and companies. From 2010 to 2017, I taught Italian at the Pontifical Faculty of Education Auxilium in Rome. I worked with Prolingua School specialized in teaching Italian to religious students coming to Rome from all over the world. Since 2018, I teach Italian at the Embassy of the United States of America in Rome. Alongside teaching Italian, I also work as a translator, to and from Spanish.
In my free time I am passionate about rock music, cinema and football. But most importantly, I cultivate my love for… pasta!!!
My favorite dish is: pasta!
Interesting fact: I am a history buff. In 2017 I published the historical novel “Rosso Sarajevo” which tells the sad events that took place during the Bosnian war between 1992 and 1996.
